Precisely four months to the day after The Puget Sound Business Journal first broke the story about this hybrid brokerage office and destination retail concept, the “Connoisseurs of Life” showroom is set to open on March 1, 2014 at 11am. The grand opening celebration observes Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty commencing full time operations on the Eastside at 15 Lake Street in downtown Kirkland.
“Four years after opening our branch office in downtown Seattle and three years after entering Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County, we’re thrilled to be within such a prime retail location in downtown Kirkland,” said Stacy Jones, Owner and Vice President of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. “We viewed this as an opportunity to do something more than building another one dimensional real estate brokerage office. In addition to the wine tasting room and retail wine shop for DeLille Cellars, we’ve conceived the ultimate open house for the connoisseurs of life to experience a convergence of synergistic brand experiences within a single, beautiful setting.”
Jones speaks of other retail partners including Cobalt Mortgage, LightArt, Wipliance, Masins, Alchemy Collection, The Island Gallery and The Snap Bar to name few hinting that more information would be released in the coming week.
The 3,200 sq. ft. facility was designed by Atelier Drome Architects and developed by Adatto Construction. It features 17-foot ceilings and a unique building-in-a-building structure with expansive sliding wall panels to create individual spaces for daily corporate use or to open up completely from street to bay for larger events of up to 250 persons on special occasions.
“Our primary business will always be representing buyers and sellers of properties around the corner and around the globe,” adds Jones. “But we have a very retail perspective on how to create a place where consumers and brokers want to spend time and interact. I think the showroom is a shining example of one-plus-one-equals-three with great companies working together to create a new lifestyle destination on the Eastside.”
