Weekend Event Guide: September 6-7

By Amanda Lybeck |

Even though September is upon us we are ecstatic to feel another warm weekend here in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest and we’re even more excited about some of the fabulous events going on in and around the city this weekend. Not sure what your plans are yet? Here are a few of our favorites:

Today is the last day of the Cider Summit Seattle, a 21 and over event where you’ll find over 100 artisanal hard ciders from around the world. A great way to both enjoy the sunshine at the South Lake Union Discovery Lawn and embrace the chill we’ll soon feel in the air.

If you’re looking for something all ages there are a couple of great events to check out. First, the Aki Matsuri at Bellevue college, which happens all weekend, is a celebration to welcome fall the Japanese way with cultural, educational, and other fun events.

Or head over to the annual Lighthouse Festival at Lighthouse Park in Mukilteo, also going all weekend long. With over 50 booths, fireworks, entertainment, and more, you’re sure to love this free festival.

Here’s to a happy and sunshine-filled weekend!
