The Puget Sound Business Journal Names The Top 10 Most Expensive Neighborhoods In Washington State

By RSIR Staff |

The Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ) recently outlined the ten Washington neighborhoods boasting the highest real estate price tags, looking at 4 bedroom/2 bathroom homes. Mercer Island was notable, topping the list at $1.06 million and finding a spot in the top 25 cities in the country, whereas Kenmore rounded out the bottom Washington’s Top 10 at $543,500.

As Emily Parkhurst from the PSBJ writes, “the average Washington state home was listed for $404,638, but that’s much lower than the average price in many of the state’s most expensive cities,” adding that the Eastside represents a large share of the list, “with many cities on that side of the lake included in the top 10.” Further, “the top five most expensive cities in Washington all made the top 100 most expensive cities in the country.”

Given the data, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) decided to showcase a current listing and notable sale in the top five of these desirable Washington neighborhoods from the past year:
