Tonight, August 12th, marks the second annual “Soirée en Blanc,” hosted by Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR). This highly anticipated event will take place at Dean & Stacy Jones’s waterfront home on Mercer Island, with guests arriving at 6pm in their casual white attire. This annual party celebrates the close-knit network of brokers, vendors and clients who make up the RSIR family.
RSIR’s “Soiree en Blanc” is an homage to a storied history of these types of festivities. The first official Dîner en Blanc took place during 1988 in the Parc de Bagatelle in the Bois de Boulogne. The event was started by a man named François Pasquier, who invited a few friends to the Bois de Boulogne one day in June. To find each other in the park, they all wore white. The dinner was such a success that they decided the next year, each person would invite some other friends and the event grew organically into the world-wide phenomenon we see now.
“We once attended a White Party in Miami during the Yacht Show that was thrown by LURSSEN – it was over the top and so much fun so we had to borrow the idea,” said Stacy Jones, Vice President of RSIR. “Ultimately this is about uniting the RSIR nation and celebrating our community.”
We look forward to the RSIR Family coming together for what promises to be an evening of fun. In anticipation for tonight’s festivities, have a look at last year’s best moments:
