A Routine Buyer’s Inspection Turns into a Full Blown Party
Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) broker Brian Hopper says it was a summer evening in July when he got a call from the buyer’s agent at 7pm letting him know that the inspection on the listing he was representing was complete and that it went well. It’s what they said after giving the results that surprised Hopper: they were still at the home. “He must have heard the hesitation in my voice when I asked, ‘you’re still there? Is everything OK?’” said Hopper, because the inspection had started at 1pm. “Oh yes, everything is fine,” said the buyer’s agent. “In fact, the buyers really hit it off with the owners, and they are currently sitting on the back deck having a glass of wine together!”
