On March 31 and April 1, two dozen brokers and executives from Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty hosted an estimated 500 guests within the LUXURY LOUNGE during the 2012 TASTE WASHINGTON! Event at the CenturyLink Event Center. Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty was proud to be the invited real estate partner for this festive celebration of food and wine that drew more than 4,000 patrons over the weekend.
Hundreds of guests waited for the opening at 2pm while a select number of VIP guests were treated to an advance opening at 1pm. The event boasted over 200 winemakers and dozens of top restaurants from the greater Seattle area, which served a plethora of fine foods ranging from freshly shucked oysters on the half shell to delicate spiced caramel treats and everything in between.

The Luxury Living Lounge included a feature presentation for Olive 8 – downtown Seattle’s in-city resort community. A scale model of the tower was installed and attracted many consumers to learn more about the unique lifestyle options available. Visit www.Olive8.com.
Of course, the Luxury Living Lounge wouldn’t be complete without fine food and wine. Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty was pleased to welcome both Delille Cellars and El Gaucho as the exclusive wine and food sponsors for the weekend event.
Broker Sam Cunningham greets guests at the entrance to the listing showcase area, which included more than 200 properties from around the corner and around the globe. Sam shared stories about a recent listing in Laurelhurst that he sold to a buyer from China – yet another signal that the Seattle area is becoming an international marketplace.
The Luxury Lounge became a favorite refuge for guests to relax and become acquainted with others on topics that ranged from food and wine to the state of the housing market.
After a long day of touring wineries the Luxury Living Lounge became a favorite place for patrons to relax and engage in a conversation with brokers about the state of the housing market and make appointments to visit properties. Pictured above is broker Sean Nielsen who made several qualified connections with prospective buyers including one couple that elected to tour waterfront homes on Bainbridge Island.
Among the more unique ways to network and share information, brokers from Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty were using smart phones to “bump” contacts to their registered guests and helped consumers also download the mobile app for searching properties with their phone.
Closing time – after an active weekend and hundreds of presentations the Luxury Lounge came down as quickly as it was erected. After only a few hours the CenturyLink Events Center was again returned to its original state. It was a brief but fantastic event!
