About ME

As a leader in Bainbridge Island real estate with over two decades of expertise, Carl Sussman has established a trusted reputation among clients and industry professionals alike. Acting as a guide every step of the way, he leverages his knowledge of the Island’s unique neighborhoods, secret hideaways, and finest opportunities to flawlessly help buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. Carl is regarded for his proactive, client-first approach, anticipating needs and ensuring his clients are well-informed through every step of the process. He brings this philosophy to his position as Director of Sales and Manager of the Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty branch office on Bainbridge Island, where he works tirelessly to support the firm’s brokers with straight-forward advisement and a deep understanding of transaction management, marketing, negotiation tactics, and beyond.

Carl’s alignment with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty stems from a shared commitment to innovation and a passion for the arts. He is proud to lend his insight to a firm known for its thought leadership, award-winning marketing, and regional growth. Together with the firm, Carl is setting a new benchmark in Bainbridge Island real estate and helping continue to expand upon an impressive local and global presence. With a strong desire to improve personally and professionally, Carl’s eclectic background includes a B.A. in Economics from Ohio State University, an A.O.S. from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and a twenty-five-year career as a restaurateur, with professional designations as a Certified Relocation Professional and Certified Negotiation Expert.

Thirty-five years ago, Carl moved to Seattle and took a bike ride that completely changed his life. The bicycle tour brought him to Bainbridge Island where he fell in love with the beauty at every turn and sense of community. Soon after, he found himself living on the Island. When not in the office, he can be found spending time with his beloved dog, cooking, enjoying a glass of wine, or painting Methow Valley and other agricultural landscapes “en plein air.” Carl is deeply committed to the Island’s close-knit community, serving as Chair of the Public Arts Committee and as a Board Member of Bainbridge Arts & Humanities.
