Emily Lawson’s mission statement for her real estate practice is to produce confidence throughout the buying and selling process. She values the trust her clients place in her to assist them in navigating through the big life decision of purchasing or selling a home, and always keeps their best interests at the forefront.
A native Seattleite, Emily lived in Washington D.C. where she practiced law. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2000 and has practiced law for more than twenty-years, holding positions at a federal international trade agency and prominent global law firms both in Seattle and Washington D.C. Emily’s clients included international organizations and large national and multinational corporations. Her practice focused on cross-border trade transactions and she helped clients successfully navigate the complex rules of international trade agreements and trade legislation and regulations.
A homeowner herself, Emily truly understands the joy in coming home to your own place and the benefit of the home as a financial asset. Having shifted to a career in real estate, her clients now benefit from the many skills acquired from her legal practice, including her zealous advocacy, strong understanding of contractual documents, attention to detail, active listening, and client service. Emily seeks to provide her clients with all necessary information to make informed decisions and is their advocate. It is these tenets of service and commitment to unrivaled client care that led Emily to Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, where she provides tailored marketing solutions, a white glove approach, and connections that span not just around the corner, but around the world.
Emily has lived in Europe and enjoyed international travel in her legal practice, getting to know the people and traditions of other countries and cultures. Although Emily’s work has taken her to Europe, Southeast Asia, and China, she most enjoys Seattle, and all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. When not looking at homes for her clients, Emily loves watching home renovation shows and being inspired by creative design ideas and the functional use of space to use within homes. In her spare time Emily also enjoys jogging, and spending time with family, friends, and animals.
