About Me
A home and the land on which it is built tell a story—one that owners are excited to tell, and that buyers want to hear. With over 30 years of experience in creative marketing, Jay Alan applies his narrative passion to real estate so that he can tell the story of every listing and house, guiding each buyer to the home that is right for them. As a home builder and remodeler, Jay’s clients benefit from his expertise in development and real estate. And with a career as a director/producer with a resume of successful films and commercial work, his visual and rich technique for listing a home set him apart from his peers. As an award-winning director and producer, Jay’s professional collaborations include some of the most recognizable names in tech, media, and fashion. He and his production company are responsible for hundreds of videos and commercials for clients including Xbox, Microsoft, and The Bon Marché, and he has also shared his design and direction talents with brands including Polo, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Nautica, and many more. Jay’s strong Northwest roots ideally pair with his international sensibility informed by business and travel around the world, positioning his clients to benefit from his global perspective and creative mindset to help them achieve their real estate goals. He aligned with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty because of the brand power and reach the Sotheby’s name offers. When he’s not assisting clients with custom marketing plans, Jay sails throughout the Northwest and the world and has his USCG commercial captain’s credential for both motor and sailboats. Jay and his wife Deena take every opportunity to seek adventure and embrace that distinct Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Whether that means getting out on his bike for a long ride, skiing, (alpine and backcountry in the winter, water skiing in the summer,) or swimming in the lake with their dog. They love to be active. With Deena, they support their local schools and charities and find time to cook for friends and family and host loved ones often at their home on Lake Washington.
