Chef Bobby Moore, owner of the new Bobby Moore Restaurants group, announced the next chapter in his long tenure as an executive chef with the purchase of the beloved Bis on Main on historic Main Street in Downtown Bellevue. Chef Bobby will also take over the existing event lounge space next door to launch a new modern champagne and cocktail lounge called Bar Moore this fall.
“I’m so excited to announce my next adventure as the new owner and Chef of Bis on Main and to transform the lounge event space next door to be named Bar Moore Bellevue, coming soon,” said owner and Chef Bobby Moore, Bobby Moore Restaurants. “The current Bis on Main owner Joe Vilardi has built an incredible team, fine dining experience and legacy and I intend to honor the hard work and traditions he has created in this community with my own personal twist.”
The beloved Bis on Main restaurant was opened in downtown Bellevue in September 1998 by Joe Vilardi and Michel Fredj. Bis means ‘two, twice or another’ in French and Italian and seemed the natural choice for a Parisian and an Italian-American who had been friends for over 25 years at the time. Bis on Main is an Eastside favorite and was voted Bellevue’s Most Romantic Restaurant four years in a row and is also a perennial recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
Chef Bobby Moore will also transform the event lounge space next door, formerly known as “B Bar”, into a modern European champagne and cocktail lounge, perfect for drinks and bites before dinner at Bis on Main, or for late-night bites and drinks.”
Chef Bobby Moore will take over Bis on Main October 1, 2022 and Bar Moore will launch sometime this fall.
