On Saturday, September 27th, a dozen members of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty joined more than 600 registered guests for the 2nd annual Nan Hai Biz-Tech Summit held at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Bellevue. RSIR’s participation included hosting a tradeshow booth representing exclusive properties as well as Insignia Condominiums as a special guest development. China Daily covered the program, which is billed as an “East Meets West” summit for businesses, investors and consumers to come together and explore enhanced relations between Asia and the Pacific Northwest.
“I applaud the entire Nan Hai team for attracting such a diverse group of industry leaders to this timely event,” says Dean Jones, President & CEO of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. “We were pleased to participate in the program both as an exhibitor and as a panelist.”
Other RSIR team members included Jodi Long, Carrie DeBuys, Barry Bergner, Connie Blumenthal, Lisa Woolverton, Denise Seavitt, Ashley Flynn, Liz Davidson, Brad Vancour, Pamela Bellah, Alex Hayes, Peter Phillips, Yvonne Lindbom, Chad Zinda and Stacy Jones during the all-day event.
A primary attraction was the dynamic exhibit for Insignia Condominiums by Bosa Development, which included a virtual tour of the building. A dozen members of RSIR, as well as Carese Busby from Cobalt Mortgage, were treated to a private viewing of the Insignia Sales Center to discover the south tower is already 50% sold with first occupancy scheduled for mid-2015.
The marketing team at RSIR produced a series of handouts to help showcase the Pacific Northwest and trends for foreign home buying, along with a collection of featured properties that were promoted in both English and Mandarin.
The keynote address was offered by Brad Owen, Lieutenant Governor of Washington State who confirmed that our region is the most trade-dependent economy in the US and a major import and export partner with Asia, especially with China. Mr. Owen set the tone for the entire program, encouraging collaboration between the businesses and attendees.
During his panel discussion, Jones presented the following presentation on trends citing his own experience investing in and relocating to the Seattle area from a foreign country. He highlighted how foreign nationals, especially from China, are discovering the many benefits of the Pacific Northwest and its relative affordability compared to other West Coast markets.
The VIP dinner was a sold out affair and included a drawing for Cashmere Chardonnay, produced by Greg and Stacy Lill of DeLille Cellars. Sponsors Dean and Stacy Jones were pleased to welcome the audience to Maison DeLille, a unique wine lounge and real estate showcase located in the Kirkland branch office of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty.
