This gorgeous home features a transitional design, mixing modern elements into traditional designs, which allows it to fit well within the Newcastle China Creek neighborhood. The design concept was to use as many windows as we could to collect sunlight, giving the home a warm feeling. Interior walls have been kept to a minimum and the home features 11-foot ceilings, giving homeowners the feeling of maximum space. All of the living spaces feature adjustable ceiling rope lights that allow homeowners to set the mood. The master bedroom features a three-sided fireplace, connecting the reading area and the resting area of the master bedroom. The master bathroom also features heated floors with a stand-alone tub.
In addition to the spacious loft on the third floor, the basement hosts a large entertainment area. It features a wine cellar, complete with sink and cabinets, a home theater (or poker room), and has a separate heating and cooling system to allow homeowners to set temperatures separately from the rest of the home.
The entire concept of the home is spacious living, you will find that each floor features a ceiling that is taller than most homes, each room is also decided to have an extra two to four feet on each side, making each room more spacious than most of your run-of-the-mill homes. The end result is a feeling of zen, or peacefulness, based on a well-engineered design usually only comes from custom homes.
