Hopper Group Attends Pike Place Market Fundraising Event, “Sunset Supper”

On August 12th, Hopper Group’s Brian and Nicole had the opportunity to attend the annual Sunset Supper at Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. The annual event is a fundraising effort through the gathering of many top local restaurants, wineries, and distilleries for a night set at the height of summer on the cobblestone at the market! The market actually closes to the general public for this event allowing tables and vendors to set up in the street. Attendees had the opportunity to sip and savor their way through the market and enjoy bites from many of the cities best local chefs!

“We truly have some incredible and talented chefs here in Seattle, and to see their involvement with this event really raised awareness to the needs of the market community,” said Brian Hopper.

Guests enjoyed the amazing bites prepared by some of the best chefs in the city.

The Pike Place Market Foundation is the heart of the Market. By helping  lower-income neighbors who work, learn and live in and around the Market, the Foundation helps the Market remain a thriving, caring community.  The Sunset Supper is a major contributor to these efforts, last year raising over $330,000 at this event alone!

“We were impressed with our community coming together for the event!” said Nicole Hopper. “We met people from all over the Puget Sound who attended with the goal of helping those in need directly around the market. It was wonderful.”

Many favorite restaurants were on hand dazzling guests with their creations and libations, including local favorite master craft cocktail creator John from the Thompson Hotel’s hot spot, The Nest.

“The Nest is our favorite right now. It is just what Seattle needed: a rooftop hot spot,” added Hopper.

The evening flew by and the dancing began!  The evening’s music was led by Seattle’s own queen of soul, Grace Love and the Grace Love band, also named City Arts’ 2015 Artist of the Year!

All in all the evening was a huge success!
