“We are privileged to recognize Shannon’s many contributions to the company we keep; strategically, culturally, and managerially,” said Dean Jones, President and CEO of RSIR. “Over the past two and half years, Shannon has demonstrated her commitment to our shared vision of care and support for our brokers and led us through a challenging time of market acclimation. With that inflection point behind us, we are primed for growth across multiple divisions that will benefit from her leadership.”
Olcese joined RSIR in 2022, as a Branch Manager for the Kirkland branch office, drawing upon more than 25 years of experience in the industry. She began her career as a practicing agent in 1999 and later joined a team before advancing into management positions within several of the largest real estate brands. In 2024, she was tapped to lead the Talent Acquisition Team with Kelley Schaefer-Levi, RSIR Business Development Manager as well as co-envision Project Accelerate – a comprehensive series of educational sessions that includes courses by Kelly as well as curated collaborations by top producing RSIR brokers to train best practices. In November 2024, Olcese retained Val Burmester of Beyond Brokers Consulting, LLC to provide outside sales solutions for broker recruiting. Olcese is also focused internally with the RSIR Broker Care team to optimize support and aid in agent ascension and retention.
“I’m eager to support my new role with the Executive Team while also acting as an advocate of our many brokers and the Broker Care team that serves them every day,” said Olcese. “I am confident in the direction of RSIR and the results that we will earn together. This will manifest in the growth of the agent roster and with increased production from our brokers. I am also keen to lead the RSIR Legacy Plan for our sunsetting brokers who will enjoy a legacy of lifestyle advantages made possible by this incredible global network.”
Olcese refers to RSIR’s structured platform that helps top producing brokers build a team, underwrite distinctive micro-branding, and leverage the matchless referral network around the world in semi-retirement. She is collaborating with members of the RSIR Steering Committee to advise the modeling behind the strategy, which has included consulting with preferred advisors at UBS Wealth Management and third-party accountants, attorneys, and tax deferral strategists – all part of the RSIR Legacy Plan.
“Sotheby’s International Realty is truly the last brand that our staff and brokers will ever need to know,” added Jones. “I am convinced that our brand color and the US passport match for a reason. We are witnessing a growing number of retiring brokers who are enjoying the bounty of their career without retiring their book of business. They are still maximizing their passive revenue potential. Having an experienced executive like Shannon at the helm of this program will ensure its success and sustainability.”
Olcese also operates RSIR’s coaching program managed by Denise Seavitt and will continue to collaborate as a Branch Manager at large. All compliance matters and transaction management will continue to be directed by Tim McCanta as Designated Broker.
“I’ve been honored to work with Shannon as a colleague, and I applaud the Executive Team for welcoming her to corporate leadership,” said McCanta. “We are truly fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and savvy management team as we continue to grow.”
The RSIR Executive Team is now comprised of Dean Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer; Andrea Savage, Chief Marketing Officer; Shannon Olcese, Vice President of Sales; Tamra Fleming, Business Consultant and Leadership Coach; and Kevin Walsh, Chief Financial Officer.
