By RSIR Staff |

In early October, a collective of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty brokers descended upon Denver, Colorado to join fellow Sotheby’s International Realty affiliates from around the nation for a regional networking event hosted by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty. The two-day event took place at the LIV Cherry Creek office and the Four Seasons in downtown Denver.

“Congratulations to LIV Sotheby’s International Realty on their 10-year anniversary with the Sotheby’s brand,” said RSIR broker Mary Nelson. “I’m so proud to be affiliated with a company that continues to provide exceptional tools, training, and innovative resources. The Leadership Panel, Ninja Selling, and Coaching sessions were amazing! Connecting and collaborating with top brokers in the brand elevates us to continually provide excellent service to our buyers and sellers.”

Opening night kicked off with a first-class welcome reception and open house hosted at the LIV flagship office to showcase the Class A commercial space, which was turned into a “state-of-the-art” office from top to bottom! The office encompasses the entire second floor, offering fantastic views of the Cherry Creek shopping district. It also opens to the rooftop bar of the adjacent restaurant to make one fantastic entertaining space!

LIV truly knows how to throw a party for its attendees, as they spared no expense in rolling out the red carpet for all guests. The fabulous evening on the second story rooftop bar of the adjoining restaurant was complete with a U2 cover band.

“To me, these events have become all about maintaining my relationships with associate brokers from across the brand and the world, as a global rea estate advisor for my clients,” reflects RSIR broker Brian Hopper.

Guests were honored by the presence of former NFL coach Mike Shanahan, one of the most accomplished coaches in the history of the league. Shanahan has unparalleled success guiding and shaping quarterbacks, building powerhouse offenses, and leading both professional and collegiate teams to the playoffs and championships. LIV Connect attendees gleaned advise from Shanahan on key topics: winning, leadership, and peak performance in all aspects of life.

How does a former NFL coach share insight at a real estate conference? Winning. The business is all about winning and putting together win-win deals for clients.

The next session was led by Kevin D. Thompson, Chief Marketing Officer for Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates. In this role, Thompson is responsible for overseeing and implementing all marketing: interactive, digital, advertising, and public relations initiatives for the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand. Thompson shared some exciting things coming to the brand’s marketing spectrum, as well as some innovative, progressive marketing ideas on the horizon for SIR brokers! Thompson also touched on the brand’s success with the new Curate app and receiving the Silver Creator Award from YouTube for being the first real estate company to reach 100,000 subscribers.

LaTorre oversees the global servicing and operations functions for the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand. She shared a number of inspiring and interesting brand factors including the total web traffic for sir.com in 2017, which reached 27 million—more than any other real estate company!

“LIV Connect was a great event. Their firm seems as creative and at the forefront as RSIR, and I am impressed by what they are doing,” said RSIR broker Murat Dabagoglu. “Denver and Boulder were both beautiful cities and it was great to confirm the quality of brokers in another Sotheby’s International Realty market—I met some fantastic people!”

“All in all, the event was a tremendous success. Each broker in attendance was able to make some great contacts and spend time with brokers from other parts of the country,” added Hopper. “I enjoyed hearing how each other’s local markets are doing, sharing ideas with one another, and above all, creating lasting relationships to benefit our clients.”
