On Thursday, September 14th, a collective of the Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) Executive Team and brokers joined AREAA of Greater Seattle for the 2017 Emerging Gateways Luxury Summit. The event featured celebrity keynote speaker Josh Altman, a $3 billion realtor and star of Bravo TV’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, along with a panel of experts who discussed local and global luxury market trends. Following the panel and guest speakers, guests mingled at a cocktail reception and mixer to share insights while taking in the gorgeous views at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington.

Josh Altman shared a few entertaining and inspirational stories, describing the importance of an uncompromising work ethic, diligence and the ability to choose luck as he began and sustains success as a luxury real estate broker. Zillow’s Spencer Rycoff took a more technological approach, offering a prediction of how the role of the broker will shift into more of an advisory capacity as innovation continues.
“Altman’s keynote reminded us that we need to be mindful and seize the opportunities we’re presented with,” said Jennifer Johnsen Cameron, Vice President of Brand Development for RSIR. “These are great tools to help brokers not just in high-end properties, but in all levels of real estate and even beyond our industry.”

“The Altman brothers are great storytellers and I loved listening to their key insights,” said Esther Stifano, RSIR broker. “One key takeaway for me was Josh Altman’s number one rule: always make sure people know what you do!”

Dean and Stacy Jones have been an integral part of the AREAA organization for the past five years, attending each Global Luxury Summit and hosting the 2014 Pacific Rim Summit at the Connoisseurs of Life Showroom in 2014. A member of the Washington State China Relations Council, Dean Jones is frequently tapped to present and lead panels at conferences on topics including foreign direct investment and immigration.
