Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty’s Andy Yip Moves From Selling To Building Beautiful Custom Homes

By admin |

Creating the entire concept around a new build is something not all real estate agents—even expert ones—understand on a personal level. But RSIR broker Andy Yip is an extraordinary broker.

Andy worked alongside the creative minds from Atera Homes to design his own custom residence in Bellevue. He was so impressed by the design they came up with for his personal home that he decided to partner with them again to build a series of four more homes in the beautiful China Creek neighborhood in Newcastle, WA. With a focus on creating open concept floor plans and maximizing the amount of natural light flooding into every corner of the spaces, these bright and airy modern homes are perfectly suited to the Pacific Northwest region in which they have been built.

Andy didn’t stop at contributing ideas for the homes’ overall concept or construction, though. He was also highly invested in the interior spaces. In addition to making sure they felt warm and filled with sunlight, Andy also collaborated with Atera to incorporate elements of feng shui, giving each interior an especially big, bright, and balanced feel that instantly soothes and helps melt the stress of the day away.

When asked what he was thinking as he envisioned these homes, Andy simply replied “The entire concept of the home is spacious living. You will find that each floor features an exceptionally tall ceiling and each room also has an extra two to four feet on each side compared to standard residences. This makes each room feel more spacious than most of your run-of-the-mill homes. The end result is a feeling of zen, or peacefulness, based on a well-engineered design that usually only comes from custom homes.”

One of these covetable contemporary homes is currently on the market, giving local homebuyers a chance to own the kind of custom-built, carefully considered property that is rarely available to anyone but the most elite. With four bedrooms and 4,405 square feet of space, this home is a roomy oasis that is still within easy commuting distance of major tech industry employers and bustling south Bellevue.

Highlights of this home include massive 11-foot ceilings, to create that feeling of openness and minimalist grandeur that was so important to Andy when designing this residence. Every shared living space comes with adjustable rope lights, which allows residents to easily change the lighting, and so the mood of the entire space, whenever they like. The open kitchen centers around a large, marble-topped island that can function as prep space or as an eat-up bar area when entertaining. The kitchen, bar, and formal dining area lead out to a lovely covered terrace, which expands the available entertaining space even more. A massive master suite features a three-sided fireplace, which connects a cozy reading nook to the rest of the bedroom. The en suite master bath features luxurious heated floors, a walk-in shower, and a spa-inspired standalone tub.

Head downstairs to the basement and you will find an enormous recreation room, complete with space for a home theater and/or game room, as well as a wine cellar, and a separate heating and cooling system so that the temperature in this part of the home can be controlled and kept at different levels from the rest of the house. Every detail throughout this home has been carefully thought out, ensuring every possible need or desire is easily met.
