Last week Brian Hopper and Jason Gibbons had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Lake Tahoe, CA and attend at a regional networking event: “Ski-NE” (Ski Networking Event) hosted by Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty. The event was held at the Ritz-Carlton ski-in/ski-out Hotel on the slopes of Northstar California Ski Resort.
“These networking events, which are always held in beautiful locations, have proven to be a valuable way to not only keep in touch with my fellow Sotheby’s International Realty associates from across the country, exchange “best practice” ideas, and learn about their local markets as well as sharing about what is happening in Seattle,” stated Hopper. “Part of being able to manage our clients’ diverse property needs, where ever they may be geographically, requires a powerful network of fellow brokers, with the same alignment and mindset as we have. Spending time with this network of professionals is invaluable, plus the fact we are here slope-side is pretty awesome!” Hopper added.
“Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Events are always an amazing experience. Having attended many of them with 1000+ turnout of agents, it was nice to have a more intimate event where you could better get to know your peers.” Gibbons remarked upon returning, “Every Sotheby’s event has been educational, impactful, and energizing, but Sierra Sotheby’s SkiNE event was all of that and so much more.”
The main day of the event started off with an address and greeting from Scott Webber, owner of Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty and LIV Sotheby’s International Realty. Weber spoke about the growth of the Lake Tahoe region and the addition of new offices around the lake.
Next to take podium was Francis X. Santangelo, senior vice president of global operations for the 2016 Sotheby’s International Realty® (SIR). Santangelo shared exciting new exclusive media partners that have joined Sotheby’s International Realty as well as a wrap up of accomplishments in 2016 for the brand.
Hopper was also invited to speak on the panel alongside three other brokers from other Sotheby’s International Realty® Offices across the country. To join the panel is a great honor and Hopper took the opportunity to speak about keeping up speed in a fast-paced real estate market as well as advertising and technology developments in real estate.
Both Hopper and Gibbons were very excited about the success of the event.
