Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) brokers Tracy Vaughn and Mark Middleton recently worked together to help a client sell their Redmond home while securing a new residence on Bainbridge Island, in order to facilitate a smooth transition process out of the hustle and bustle of the Eastside into the Island life. Leveraging the power of teamwork backed by the Sotheby’s brand, Vaughn, who is based out of Seattle, and Middleton, a Bainbridge Island and Peninsula expert, commanded results despite the competitive Puget Sound housing market.
In preparing the Redmond home for sale, Tracy took the time to educate her clients every step of the way and crafted a clever marketing plan with three days of open houses that garnered nearly 80 visits from local brokers with 31 offers. The result? The sellers accepted an all-cash offer $138K over their initial asking price.
“It was really fun to work with Mark to create results that truly made our client happy,” said Vaughn. “Not only does RSIR offer a global network that connects buyers from around the world, our local one also allows us to expertly assist clients in areas we may not typically work in.”
Working together, Vaughn helped the seller’s select the most favorable offer for their needs with a rent-back to save the client $15K and Middleton expertly worked with the lender in a multiple offer situation on their Poulsbo home purchase to secure the deal.
Reflecting on the process, the clients said “Tracy explained the current market conditions and advised us wisely to get our house on the market as soon as possible. We followed her lead and within 3 days of 3 open houses we had a lot of interest with 31 offers. She helped us select one that quickly closed, which allowed us to close our next home purchase shortly after, saving us loan costs.”
Just one month after selling their Redmond home, the clients were already moving into their new Island abode, with results they didn’t realize were possible.
“This transaction was a real grand slam for our clients and I’m so glad I got to be a part it,” Middleton reflected. “Tracy did an amazing job getting their house ready to list while I found them a stellar home on the Island that met their needs. It was a win-win situation all around!”
