On Friday, July 10, over 1,000 guests came to Woodland Park Zoo to celebrate the 39th annual Jungle Party, and broke a record by raising over $2 million! The funds raised at Jungle Party are critical to ensure that the 1,100 animal ambassadors who call Woodland Park Zoo home will continue to inspire millions of people each year to take conservation action. Stacy Jones, Owner and Vice President of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, was a co-chair of the event, along with Patti Savoy, Deborah Adams, Cindy Benezra, Shalisan Foster, Dana Frank, Fredda Goldfarb, Susan Kropp, Nicole Knowles, Stacy Lill, and Sheila Otter.
“I was so proud to join my friends and my co-chairs in this incredible initiative as we raised awareness and funding to support the Woodland Park Zoo,” said Jones. “The Jungle Party was as wild as ever but really it was just the crescendo of other gatherings around town. It feels great to drive such amazing results for this Seattle institution.”
There were numerous events in the preceding months, including a debut of the tiger exhibits at the Space Needle last spring and a series of installations at landmarks around the city.

One of the highlights of the initiative was to preview the brand new Malayan Tiger exhibit at the Woodland Park Zoo, where Jungle Party co-chairs met the newest Seattle-area residents.
“These beautiful animals are so majestic,” adds Jones. “I’m so glad that there are meaningful conservation efforts in place and also thankful that we can visit them in a new exhibit right here in Seattle.”
