SPIRE Condominiums Approaches 100 Unit Presale Milestone As Project Transitions Towards A New ‘Occupancy Phase’ In 2021

Ami Bumia Appointed to Executive Director of Sales I New Developments for Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty

The team behind Spire Condominiums—including Laconia Development, VANKE, and Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR)—is celebrating a strong sales surge to close out 2020 and the resulting promotion of Ami Bumia, previously the Sales Director for the project, to Executive Director of Sales I New Development at RSIR. The 343-unit, high-rise condominium is nearing completion in a new occupancy phase, which follows RSIR’s 30-month presale listing engagement, which commenced July 2018 and expires yearend 2020.  

“I sense downtown Seattle is witnessing an inflection point and I’m confident we’ll soon reach 100 presales with momentum building towards Spring closings in 2021 by the collective team,” said Ami Bumia, the new Executive Director of Sales, New Developments at RSIR. “The quality, view and the value are clear-cut at Spire, as is the advantage of buying now with our current year end incentives. In this new phase, I’ll still assist prospective buyers that I’ve been working with over the past year as we move forward into 2021. What a year it’s been!”

As Executive Director of Sales, New Developments at RSIR, Ami Bumia will oversee the brokerage’s portfolio of new construction projects.

Bumia points to the obvious challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, related market turbulence, and construction delays but she’s encouraged by the recent announcements of a coronavirus vaccine and improving consumer confidence throughout the Seattle metro area. At the same time, she notes historically low interest rates and record stock values at local tech companies, which have helped more renters become homebuyers despite the unusual circumstances in 2020.

At least four recent presales have been accepted and brokers say more offers are on the way now that the building is available for hard hat tours, which will resume in January immediately after the holiday season. Bumia notes the opportunity to live in Seattle’s most-anticipated residential tower is in finally in “clear view” after years of construction.

“We’re very grateful for the efforts of Ami and the RSIR team as they represented us from our groundbreaking to this milestone moment of approaching 100 presales,” said Bob Kagan, Manager for Laconia Development. “We congratulate her promotion at RSIR, and we thank her and the entire RSIR team at Spire—we look forward to further celebrations when we start closings in a few months.”

Bumia is uniquely qualified to accept the position of Executive Director of Sales I New Developments at RSIR—a role that will see her overseeing the brokerage’s portfolio of new construction projects after her successful tenure as Sales Director at Spire.

Bumia will continue to assist prospective buyers at Spire that were identified during the active term of their presale listing agreement through the project’s occupancy in a collaboration with the Laconia-led development team.
