Discover SPIRE – a new architectural icon rising at 600 Wall Street in Belltown, the heart of downtown Seattle.

In a tribute to its famous neighbor, the Space Needle, SPIRE is a landmark in the making. Tall, slender and extraordinary on every level, the 41-story condominium will boast dramatic views and standout architecture befitting of its front and center perch in the downtown Seattle skyline. With progressive design and technology, SPIRE welcomes prospective homebuyers to secure their new residence today – nearly two years before it’s slated for move-ins.

To showcase the sky-high homes ahead of its public sales, a SPIRE Preview Center will open on Oct. 13 at 2609 1st Ave. in Belltown. Reservations are being accepted for priority presales, while a formal sales center and full-scale model home is scheduled to open later this month.

“We are accommodating eager homebuyers with an early opportunity to secure a unit before they officially hit the market a few weeks,” said Michael Cannon, Senior Sales Director for SPIRE Condominiums and a broker with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. “The high level of interest in SPIRE tells me that Seattle has been waiting for this unique residential opportunity. It’s been more than a decade since an exclusive, view-oriented tower was offered for sale. Given SPIRE’s distinctive design and pole position in the pipeline, it may not remain available for very long.”

Now under construction, SPIRE includes 347 spacious condominiums including one-, two- and three-bedroom residences ranging in size from an efficient 531 sq. ft. to the possibility of unit combinations offering more than 2,800 sq. ft. All residences will enjoy expansive window walls with generous ceiling heights of 9 to 10 feet.  That’s notably higher than most because the seller, Laconia Development, consciously removed a floor from the typical building design within the allowable zoning and then redistributed the space into the remaining floors.

“Every effort has been made to maximize the natural light and views at SPIRE,” adds Cannon. “Our position at the very edge of a high-rise neighborhood coupled with a triangular-shaped site opens up important view corridors unlike other developments that lack SPIRE’s enviable tower spacing and enduring view panoramas.”

Proudly sited at the northern boundary of Belltown, SPIRE occupies the very last lot in the 400+ high zoning. Across the street to the north, the maximum allowable building heights are just 85-feet and much other neighboring land uses include Denny Park, Seattle’s oldest park and the 74-acres of Seattle Center.

In addition to dramatic vistas, residents and guests will enjoy robust amenities within this vertical community. First impressions include a commanding sense of arrival with a two-story lobby and concierge with adjacent lounge and planned retail amenities. The third floor provides both professional and wellness facilities including a co-working lounge, gaming room, Skype room, conference room and a studio for yoga, dance and spin classes. Above all is the SPIRE Club on levels 40 and 41. Instead of the developer reserving the top of the building for penthouses designed for a fortunate few residents, the entire community is invited to live this lifestyle.

Amenities include an exhibition kitchen and private dining room; a games room and billiards bar; a sky gallery and viewing lounge and exterior roof top terraces that include fire pits, BBQs and lounging areas. A comprehensive fitness center is located on the top floor offering both cardio equipment, universal gyms and free weights to inspire workouts more than 400 feet above the city below.

The individual homes are equally impressive. Interiors have been thoughtfully curated by the award-winning team at Robin Chell Design. Each residence features kitchens with Italian Pedini™ cabinets, quartz countertops, BOSCH™ appliances with gas cooking and Kohler™ plumbing fixtures. Other unexpected specifications include 7 or 8-foot, solid-core doors, engineered Oak hardwood flooring throughout living areas including the bedrooms and large format porcelain tile in the bathrooms. Homebuyers can choose from two unique color schemes, Dawn or Dusk, with numerous opportunities to further personalize the interiors with closet systems, window coverings and home automation options. “I couldn’t be more excited to deliver SPIRE – the building represents a major step forward in design for Seattle, and it will be a showcase” said Chell. “Laconia has assembled thoughtful leaders in design, construction and home technology to deliver a world-class high-rise community.”

Another high-tech feature is SPIRE’s fully-automated parking garage – the first one in Seattle’s history, although these systems have been in active use throughout dozens of countries over the past thirty years. Instead of winding around and around in a parking garage, homeowners will drive into one of three available auto ports like a private garage. After exiting the vehicle, a gate closes and the robotic system whisks the car below and delivers it again upon request. That assumes you’ll even need a car in one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. Walkscore.com ranks the location with Walk Score of 97 out of 100, described as a “Walker’s Paradise” while the Transit Score is even better – a perfect 100 points earning a “Rider’s Paradise” ranking.

Given the conveniences, the immediate location is experiencing a renaissance of development and an urban evolution. Few could ignore the meteoric expansion of companies like Amazon in the Denny Triangle while other tech titans like Google and Facebook continue to add to their urban campuses in South Lake Union – all are at the doorstep SPIRE. Other companies, like Expedia, will soon migrate to the area bringing with them jobs and housing demand instead of employees increasingly decide to move to the city instead of digesting long commutes from the Eastside. There are many capital projects too, such as the HWY 99 tunnel and new waterfront promenade that will soon provide a new connection from the city to the bay. The Space Needle itself recently underwent a $100 million “space lift” and Key Arena at Seattle Center is about to be reset as a future home for NHL and NBA franchises. Other planned neighborhood improvements include the Lake2Bay connection – a pedestrian and biking corridor between South Lake Union and The Olympic Sculpture Park with access to Myrtle Edwards Park, which stretches along Elliott Bay. These many open spaces offer some welcomed elbow room amidst an otherwise urban landscape that is continuously stretching into the sky.

“SPIRE really provides the best of both worlds,” concludes Cannon. “In your back yard you have a cosmopolitan metropolis and every imaginable opportunity, residential service and lifestyle attraction while your front yard offers open spaces with room to breathe and access to natural environments.”

Reservations are a simple first right of opportunity provided to a prospective buyer in exchange for a fully refundable deposit of $5,000 held in escrow. The agreement simply identifies the selected home and incudes a price range as well as a preliminary floor plan, finish specifications and other information that will be finalized with the sales debut. Essentially, the developer makes an offer to the buyer within the slated price range and provides an invitation to tour the model home, design center and experience the various exhibits in the SPIRE Sales Center, including state-of-the-art immersive virtual reality tours of select homes and common areas.
