Naoko Vaughn is a real estate advisor with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, specializing in helping empty nesters and longtime homeowners move into their next chapter with clarity, care, and a sense of ease.
She began her career in real estate at 23 in the commercial sector, working with investors on a range of projects. She later stepped away to pursue entrepreneurial ventures, including introducing espresso culture to Japan in its early days and owning two successful women’s boutiques for over a decade. These experiences shaped her strong business sense and, just as importantly, her ability to truly understand and connect with people.
Today, Naoko focuses on helping empty nesters and longtime homeowners navigate the shift into their next chapter—whether that means simplifying, relocating, or letting go of a home filled with years of memories. She understands that this is more than a financial decision; it’s a deeply personal one.
Her approach goes far beyond the transaction. Naoko works closely with her clients to prepare not just the home, but the transition itself—helping coordinate decluttering, organizing, donation and estate services, and all the details that can otherwise feel overwhelming. She brings a calm, thoughtful presence to every step, making the process feel more manageable and seamless.
As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), and through her personal experience as a primary caregiver for her mother, Naoko offers a level of empathy and insight that clients immediately feel. She understands the balance between practical decisions and emotional readiness, and helps create a path forward that feels right for each individual.
Fluent in Japanese and with a background in International Studies from the University of Puget Sound and the University of Washington, Naoko works comfortably with a diverse and international clientele.
Raised on Mercer Island and having lived in the Issaquah and Sammamish areas for over 30 years, Naoko brings deep local knowledge and a genuine connection to the Eastside community. She is actively involved in senior communities in the Seattle area and is a strong advocate for the wellbeing and dignity of older adults.
