Pullman

Located amongst the striking landscape of Eastern Washington near the Washington/Idaho border, Pullman is the most populous city in Whitman County. Stunning rolling hills mark this agricultural haven with annual wheat harvests and rural beauty. With an entirely unique climate, different than that of Western Washington, Eastern Washington boasts a sunny, dry climate in summer months with less rainfall than Washington’s western cities during the winter. Pullman receives a moderate amount of yearly snowfall.

Pullman is surrounded by The Palouse, renowned for its iconic green hills and open skyline. In the summer, the striking hills turn a vibrant green and in the fall they transform into golden hues. Ample occasions to get outdoors and connect with nature await nearby, with trails at the Rose Creek Nature Preserve and Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail just several miles from Pullman. Whether you’re interested in hiking, biking, or simply relaxing outdoors and catching a beautiful sunset or sunrise, the opportunities abound year-round.

For excellent education, research, and professional opportunities, Washington State University remains one of the best of the best campuses in the state.
