Frog Legs Children’s Culinary Academy Opens Second Location In Kirkland

By admin |

On June 9th, Hopper Group’s Brian and Nicole Hopper and family attended a ribbon cutting event as Frog Legs, Culinary Academy opened its second location, setting up shop in Kirkland. They were joined by members of the community, Kirkland Chamber of commerce, and the other community leaders. Besides the ribbon cutting, the packed house offered cookie decorating for children with all the toppings imaginable.

Frog Legs, Culinary Academy is an engaging, interactive school allowing kids a hands-on approach to cooking.  While focusing on children, the academy also holds adult cooking classes offering  a fun date night for two, or for an entire group! The classes are ongoing, and range in topics from “pizza with pizzazz,” to mastering your omelet making skills with their “best of breakfast” class. For the little ones, the venue is an ideal spot for birthday parties, with many pre-arranged themes to choose from. Or your birthday child can create their own party theme!

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Frog Legs join our community,” said Hopper. “This will be a busy place no doubt for our children and for parents! A fantastic way to bring a fun, educational experience to our community. Plus the ice-cream is outstanding !” added Hopper. The Kirkland storefront is the second Frog Legs location, the first having opened in 2007 in Seattle’s Mt. Baker neighborhood to huge success!  While sharing her passion for cooking, owner Laura Vida has a love for creative culinary teaching to children, and found combing the two to be a winning recipe.

Beyond party hosting and cooking classes, the new Kirkland location features a candy shop/mercantile store offering candies, party supplies, cookies, ice cream and more. With walking distance to the Kirkland marina and Heritage Park, the ice cream will certainly be going fast this summer!
