Executives at Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) and famed Restaurateur Quyen Dang jointly announced the opening of FogRose Atelier—a curated café and lounge, within the super prime retail location at 15 Lake Street in downtown Kirkland. The dynamic destination lounge is also an events venue available for corporate and private experiences. A soft opening is scheduled for June 4th, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a grand opening celebration with ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. on location.
“We are elated to co-host this much anticipated reopening of our premier retail storefront to the public, having identified a passionate partner in Quyen Dang to operate her café and lounge,” said Dean Jones, President and CEO of RSIR. “This is a phenomenal location and a timely debut for the approaching summer season. FogRose Atelier will be a beautiful smile on this landmark building.”
Initial hours of operation are Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“On behalf of our staff, I couldn’t be more excited to welcome the community to this project, front-and-center in downtown Kirkland,” said Dang. “It has been a labor of love over the past year getting to this opportunity. I’m so grateful to RSIR, to our landlord, and to our many patient customers for awaiting this grand opening event.”

FogRose Atelier is best known for its elevated high-tea and curated experiences, which includes an exotic assortment of fine teas, sweet and savory bites, and matchless hospitality. Dang will augment the menu to include lunch items, coffee drinks, and an assortment of desserts. Recently licensed by the Washington State Liquor Control Board, FogRose will also feature a full bar with spirits, beer, cider, fine wines, and select champagne.
“In this location, we feel a need to offer a broader array of food and beverage services and also be available for special events,” added Dang. “We will soon announce live music nights and other happenings to create a new center of gravity for the community.”
By example, the new opening was timed with an art installation by local artist Rachel Yo. The collaboration between RSIR and FogRose Atelier, along with the other tenants in the building, hopes to reignite the monthly Kirkland Art Walk.
The Kirkland Art Walk was a longstanding cultural event in Kirkland, Washington, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to explore local art galleries, meet artists, and enjoy live demonstrations. It was a well-established event by the early 2000s. In 2014, the event underwent a rebranding to become “Kirkland Second Thursday,” aiming to broaden its appeal beyond art enthusiasts by incorporating local boutiques, restaurants, and live music. This program was discontinued for many years, but community proponents are committed to introducing the event series.
“I have great hope of seeing Kirkland Second Thursday rekindle, and witnessing the energy of RSIR and FogRose Atelier will be a catalyst to make it happen,” said Christina Roberts, a Vice President of Kirkland Downtown Association. Christina has also been a Founding Member of RSIR’s flagship location in Kirkland for the past dozen years.
RSIR is an active host of First Friday Artwalks on both Bainbridge Island and Mercer Island, as well as an annual host to Bellevue’s Wine Walk on Old Main Street. The Bellevue branch also features a gallery of works by Shawna Perrina of The White Canvas Project. These popular cultural venues and events are typically highlights of community life within their respective neighborhoods.
“The combination of prime retail storefronts coupled with food and beverage partnerships, artful environments, and cultural happenings creates a dynamic venue for our brokers and the community,” concluded Jones. “We want to be the procuring cause of conversations that lead to real estate transactions, and building unique lifestyle centers is an important catalyst to this result. We are confident that FogRose Atelier will be remarkably successful, and that’s because of the passion and pursuit of Quyen Dang, who has persevered through the COVID pandemic with a loyal following and now, an upgraded storefront.”
Jones admitted that the dynamic retail operations that front his brokerage offices are unique and sometimes challenging to coordinate, but he believes the symbiotic relationships create rich community connections for his brokers and provide built-in business for his retail partners.
