Real estate leaders launch new market-intelligence initiative examining the forces reshaping resort communities across the Western U.S. and Canada as Suncadia brings its mountain lifestyle, new homesites and resort residences to the Westside.
KIRKLAND, Wash. — [September 2026] — Members of the media, real estate professionals, and prospective buyers are invited to attend the Suncadia Showcase: The Mountain Lifestyle—Brought West. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at FogRose Atelier in Kirkland, featuring the inaugural presentation of the Western Alpine & Resort Real Estate Barometer.
The event brings Suncadia to the Seattle-Bellevue market for an afternoon devoted to resort real estate, lifestyle, development and the changing dynamics of Western alpine communities. Guests can explore Nelson Lakes developer homesites and custom-home opportunities, The Residences at Suncadia, preferred builders and the broader Suncadia lifestyle without first making the drive across the Cascades.
At the intellectual center of the program is the debut of the Western Alpine & Resort Real Estate Barometer, co-authored by Dean Jones, CEO of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, and Thomas Wright, CEO of Majestic Realty Group.
Envisioned as a biannual thought-leadership report, the Barometer is gathering intelligence from leading real estate advisors and industry experts representing premier alpine and all-season resort markets throughout the Western United States and Canada.
The initiative will examine how forces including housing supply, pricing, resort and infrastructure investment, accessibility, buyer migration, taxation and residency policies, capital mobility, generational wealth transfer, and changing lifestyle preferences are influencing different resort communities.
The Barometer is designed to establish a common framework for understanding how different Western resort markets are evolving, and to capture emerging trends local experts may recognize before they become visible in conventional market statistics.
“The opportunity isn’t simply to identify where alpine markets are today, but to understand where they’re heading next. By comparing destinations through both market data and local expert intelligence, the Alpine Alliance can reveal how generational wealth, lifestyle migration, infrastructure and scarcity are shaping the next chapter of Western resort real estate.” — Dean Jones, Co-Founder, Alpine Alliance.
PRO-PANEL: THE NEXT ALPINE FRONTIER
The Showcase will convene a Pro-Panel of resort real estate and development experts offering perspectives from several of the West’s most closely watched alpine communities. The discussion will kick off with a brief presentation on this submarket momentum by key members of the Suncadia team including; Dawn Wandasan – VP, Developer Sales; Dawn Cameron – Director of Sales; Ashley Brendan – Residential Broker; Angelina Quattrucci – Senior Sales Executive; Shannon Blume-Anderson – Director of Club Membership; Kristin Brunker – GM, Suncadia Home Collective as a featured builder, Bobby Graham – President of NW Roots Construction. The following Pro-Panel is bringing the developer and resort perspective from one of Washington’s prominent four-season mountain communities; Summer Baldwin, Associate Broker with Sun Valley Sotheby’s International Realty, a second-generation Sun Valley real estate professional with more than two decades of experience in the Idaho resort market; and Mila Lane, Personal Real Estate Corporation and Senior Vice President, Sales with Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, whose practice encompasses Whistler and Squamish and includes firsthand experience with vacation-rental ownership and investment property. Joining them will be Katlin Lee of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, a Suncadia specialist representing the perspective of Puget Sound buyers discovering ownership east of the Cascades, and Corey Atherton, Managing Broker and Director of Suncadia Properties at REAL Residential, whose 23-plus years in luxury, resort, new-construction, land and master-planned-community real estate provide another deeply local Suncadia perspective. Together, the panel will explore what distinguishes emerging alpine communities from mature resort markets; how infrastructure, development and accessibility can influence demand; what today’s second-home and lifestyle buyers are seeking; and the emerging “X-factors” that local experts see shaping the next chapter of Western resort real estate.
