Life in the mountains is to be enjoyed, and there are few better stops for winter recreation than Snoqualmie Pass. Home to the Summit at Snoqualmie, the closest ski area to Seattle, homes here vary from condominiums to elegant chalets and log cabin manses. The fun doesn’t stop when the temperatures heat up, as paragliders and hang gliders also head to the Pass and can often be seen overhead in the spring and summer. With I-90 running through the area, its easy access is just the icing on the cake of this outdoor community. The year-round population is about 300 as the town is primarily a locale for second homes.
