Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) brought brokers and staff together on September 23 for an All-Company Sales Meeting focused on market momentum, collaboration, evolving resources, and opportunities to better serve clients. More than 100 brokers and 30 staff members gathered in person, with additional attendees joining virtually, for a morning of company updates, market insights, and a returning special guest: Robert Reffkin, Founder and CEO of Compass International Holdings.
The gathering came at an important moment for RSIR following Marketplace Sotheby’s International Realty’s merger within RSIR, expanding the combined brokerage’s presence across the Eastside and into Snohomish County. The meeting offered an opportunity to bring the two organizations together, share what is ahead, and explore how their combined resources can create new opportunities for brokers and clients.

Meeting the Market with Momentum
Dean Jones, President and CEO of RSIR, opened the meeting with a look at current market conditions and the brokerage’s year-to-date performance. Across the four-county region, for-sale inventory has increased approximately 27%, while total sales and listings have moderated by approximately 4 to 6%, conditions Jones framed as an opportunity to meet the market where it is while preparing brokers for what comes next. Jones described these competitive conditions as being preferred for RSIR, allowing the brokerage to demonstrate its core advantages such as the greatest voice in earned editorial, and the most significant visibility across social media platforms, granting its listings the exposure it deserves.

RSIR enters that environment with considerable momentum. In recent news, the Marketplace combined brokerage currently represents more than $1 billion in active inventory across the region, including new construction, and has closed more than $1.6 billion in sales volume year-to-date. Jones also highlighted the diversity of properties and price points represented throughout the expanded organization and the opportunities created by its growing regional footprint.

The meeting offered an opportunity to welcome new members of the organization and introduce Scott Hannaman, RSIR’s new Vice President of Brand & Marketing. Hannaman praised the strength of the existing marketing team and shared his focus on expanding broker access to its resources as the company moves forward.
We were also recently recognized as one of the Best Luxury Real Estate Companies in the Pacific Northwest (Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty Builds Success Around People | Best in the PNW ), while looking ahead to upcoming training, business planning, the Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event, and other opportunities to connect across the growing RSIR network.

Throughout the meeting, RSIR leadership emphasized education and client choice. First Look provides another option for sellers and brokers to consider when developing an individualized marketing strategy, with the appropriate approach depending on the property and the seller’s goals. Additional conversations and training will continue during October office meetings, and brokers are encouraged to consult with their managing broker before advising clients on a specific listing strategy.
Better Together

Reffkin’s return to RSIR followed his March visit to the Bellevue branch, where a fireside conversation explored the evolving real estate landscape, technology, collaboration, and opportunities emerging from the newly formed Compass International Holdings.
This time, Jones invited Reffkin to reflect on the industry’s continued consolidation and RSIR’s own recent expansion through the combination with Marketplace Sotheby’s International Realty.
“Teamwork makes the dream work,” Reffkin said, pointing to the uniquely collaborative nature of real estate transactions and the importance of maintaining an abundance mindset as the industry evolves.
That philosophy was reflected throughout the room as longtime RSIR brokers and their new colleagues from Marketplace Sotheby’s International Realty gathered under one organization. The September combination united two independently built, family-operated Sotheby’s International Realty franchises and expanded the resources, geographic reach, and collaborative opportunities available to their brokers and clients.

For Reffkin, collaboration extends well beyond the walls of a brokerage. He encouraged brokers to leverage relationships throughout the Sotheby’s International Realty network as clients consider opportunities in markets across the country. RSIR’s ongoing Destination Spotlight series and referral initiatives are designed with that same objective in mind: helping brokers build meaningful connections in key destination markets while extending their ability to serve clients wherever their next move may lead.
Reffkin also shared his perspective on current market conditions, pointing to growing inventory as an emerging advantage for buyers. “When the market slows, inventory grows,” he said, noting that increased selection can create new opportunities for clients who have been waiting for the right property or moment to enter the market.
Technology Built to Empower the Broker

Technology was another central focus of the fireside conversation, with Reffkin offering a preview of the Home Platform expected to become available to RSIR brokers on March 15, 2027.
Reffkin described the platform’s goal of bringing more of a broker’s daily workflow into one connected ecosystem, reducing reliance on multiple logins, duplicate data entry and disconnected tools.
The forthcoming technology builds upon a theme from Reffkin’s March visit: technology is most valuable when it empowers real estate professionals and strengthens the relationships at the center of their businesses.
Yet amid a conversation about new platforms, artificial intelligence, and an increasingly connected real estate ecosystem, some of Reffkin’s most direct advice was decidedly personal.
Asked how brokers can prepare for the generational transfer of wealth expected to shape luxury real estate in the years ahead, he encouraged them to invest more deeply in their spheres of influence through face-to-face conversations, handwritten notes, and meaningful personal connection.
As technology becomes increasingly sophisticated, Reffkin suggested, the ability to demonstrate genuine care becomes even more valuable—particularly during complex and emotional real estate transactions.
Positioned for What Comes Next

For RSIR, those opportunities arrive alongside an expanded regional footprint and growing access to technology, marketing, broker support, and the global Sotheby’s International Realty network. The recent combination with Marketplace Sotheby’s International Realty expanded RSIR’s regional footprint and brought the organization to ten branch offices and approximately 375 real estate advisors, creating greater scale while maintaining the independently owned and operated structure at the heart of RSIR.
As brokers prepare for upcoming office meetings, business planning, and the Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event, the message from the All-Company Meeting was clear: new tools and technologies may expand what is possible, but collaboration, relationships, and exceptional client service remain at the center of what comes next.
The meeting reflected a simple idea: bringing these two organizations together creates more opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and serve clients across the region and beyond.

In conversations with scores of brokers following the event, a resounding realization was that RSIR is with the right people, in the right brand, in the right place, at the right time to continue demonstrating benchmark performance when compared to the top ten largest brands.
