Today, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) announced the promotion of Ami Bumia to the role of Executive Director of Sales | New Developments. In this capacity, she will collaborate on the marketing strategy and oversee pricing and onsite sales efforts for the brokerage’s portfolio of new construction developments, with inventory totaling an impressive $1 billion in real estate value in recently closed, pending and active accounts during 2020.

Dean Jones, President and CEO of RSIR, commented: “Ami brings tremendous tenacity to this new role. She’s been an integral part of a project team for more than a year, and this is the natural evolution of her tenure here.”

Bumia has clearly demonstrated her leadership and expertise with her success at downtown Seattle high-rise accounts amidst variable market conditions, as well as in her previous positions elsewhere. Prior to joining RSIR, Bumia was Vice President of Sales at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty in Chicago, IL—a top-ten brokerage in the second largest market in the United States. She’s held numerous positions in new development in Chicago, including working with The Related Companies, one of the nation’s largest condominium developers.  Bumia brings more than 16 years of project sales experience to RSIR with demonstrated skill in all marketing conditions. As a top producer consistently ranking in the top 1% of Realtors®, Bumia is also a Certified Negotiation Expert who is particularly passionate about helping first-time home buyers. Jones notes that millennials are a primary target for the Seattle/Bellevue metro given that the robust number of technology jobs in the area has drawn a significant increase in new residents—the substantial majority of whom are renting but will likely seek to purchase in the future. Recently, census data confirmed that Seattle is home to more renters than homeowners for the first time in a century.

“I’m so thrilled to be working with such a talented group of team members at RSIR as we represent our developers during this inflection point in the market,” said Bumia. “With the diverse inventory we have on hand, coupled with record low interest rates and improving market conditions, I’m confident this will be a banner year for our clients and Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty.”

Bumia, along with RSIR President and CEO Dean Jones, shared insights into current market trends and elaborated on their predictions for 2021 with GeekWire in recent interviews.

To be sure, the Seattle/Bellevue metro area has proven to be fertile territory for international developers and for new project marketing companies to enter the region, including those from other states and internationally, according to Bumia. Despite the increased competition, RSIR has garnered the greatest market share of sold, pending and active unit counts.

“I look forward to building upon the 25-year legacy of the Realogics Group of Companies,” adds Bumia. “Together we offer the region’s only turnkey resource for market research, product development, marketing and sales and we provide matchless resources and exclusive marketing platforms that add value to our clients.”

In addition to growth in new developments, RSIR experienced more than 60% growth in resale production and collectively grossed more than $2.8 billion in sales in 2020 throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Bumia’s excitement about stepping up into this new role might only be surpassed by her enthusiasm to bring more strategic connections between RSIR’s fast-growing resale operation and the new development division.

Jones agreed, adding, “Ami is perfect for this expanding opportunity. I’m confident she’ll lead this team towards further growth by marketing leading sales results in 2021 and beyond.”
